Exciting dates this term

  • As the weather at this time of year can be unpredictable please ensure that your child is suitably dressed to use the outside area. E.g bring a coat everyday/ send in a named sun hat during warmer weather.
  • Please ensure your child has the correct school PE kit for both indoor and outdoor PE sessions (including footwear)
  • Have you got any questions for us? Please remember there is always an adult on the gate who can help you to arrange a convenient time to chat with another member of staff if needed.

Supporting your child’s learning at home

There are many ways in which you can support your child’s learning at home:

  • Reading and sharing books with your child
  • Encouraging writing in a variety of forms
  • Looking and talking about the world around you
  • Counting objects
  • Recognising numerals
  • Spotting 2D/3D shapes in the environment
  • Involving your child in cooking activities (including weighing/ measuring)

Book Sharing texts from our class library will be sent home every week. So please make sure they are returned to school every Monday

In the coming weeks your child will also have an additional reading book and record for you to record comments about when you hear your child read. Please read every day or as much as you can with your child to help them develop a real love of reading and sharing stories together.
