Corona Virus Update

Wednesday 18th March 2020

Dear Parents/ Carers.

A brief summary of this evenings statement are below.

From a school perspective please note

1. Restrictions still remain on the school site - do not enter the building

2. Nursery remains closed.

3. Breakfast club and after school care will continue as normal. No clubs.

4. Information on home learning will be sent home tomorrow

5. Children with Epipens brought them home today as were unsure what the announcement would bring. If they are in school tomorrow they must bring them to the office.

6. Please ensure that children who are currently absent do not return to school for the final two days. It is important that we do not impact on the health of the other children for the sake of a short period of time.

We are aware these are worrying and challenging times. Please be assured that we will continue to step up on behalf of the local community .

Regards
Steve Trow

Headlines

To provide parents, student and staff with the certainty they need we are announcing that schools, colleges and early years settings will be closed to everyone except children of key workers and vulnerable children from Monday, as part of the country’s ongoing response to coronavirus.

Examples of these workers include NHS staff, police and delivery drivers who need to be able to go to work. Vulnerable children include those who have a social worker and those with Education, Health and Care Plans.

A full list of key worker categories will be published by the Cabinet Office tomorrow.

Children who do not fall into these groups should remain at home with appropriate care.
